Meadowsridge AFC U16C vs Edgemead FC U16C – Match Report
Final Score: Meadowsridge 6 – 3 Edgemead FC
Our team put in a strong performance in this friendly fixture against Edgemead FC U16C, coming away with an impressive 6-3 victory.
The boys started with good intensity and maintained solid positioning throughout the game. They executed through balls more effectively than in previous games, and displayed some excellent passing combinations that broke down the Edgemead defense. One of the standout challenges was our ability to switch the play, using the width of the pitch to stretch the opposition and create space—here there’s still room to improve on this front.
The team showed confidence on the ball, applied pressure when needed, and put together several quality passages of play. This control allowed us to dictate much of the tempo and momentum during the match.
However, it’s worth noting that our game-play discipline still lets us down from time to time. In tighter or more competitive league matches, these lapses could prove costly. We’ll need to stay focused, maintain our structure, and make sure we don’t switch off in key moments.
Overall, this was a very promising performance, and it’s great to see the team gelling well and showing clear signs of progress.
As Coach’s we are proud of the effort today. Keep up the teamwork and continue refining our discipline and decision-making on the field. Lots of positives to build on!
