Brooklyn Superstars FC vs Meadowridge AFC – Junior Boys (U16C)

One of the strangest and most disorganised games we have had to coach.

We are very proud of the result as things were a lot more complicated for the boys than what it appeared to be.

We excuted many things correctly, but Joe and I agree that the start of our game still needs much more attention. The way we conceeded had far less to do with them than us. If the boys continue to ignore the warning signs, a team will eventually put 3 or 4 past our goalkeeper before we wake up.

We desperately need to change our mindset.

But…..there were also number of outstanding performances.

We were definitely affected by the weather today, with some of the boys suffering exhaustion very early on in the game.

I have also heard quite a few reports from other coaches noting that their players were complaining of a tight/burning chest.

The boys’ health is obviously important to us, so we are asking that everyone takes care of themselves please.

A 7-2 victory is more than satisfactory.

Thanks to the parents who came to show their support.

A REALLY special thanks to Ester who left to buy the boys water when she saw more much they were being affected by the humidity. We truly appreciate it.
