Another hard fought AWAY victory today.

These are good wins because it’s what we will be faced with in the league.

I think that our parents put just enough pressure on the ref to make him blow a bit differently for the second half of the second half You guys know I have to say it, please be respectful to the ref, but the support today got us through.

Really, really tough game to comment on because many of our players were being caught out by the playing surface. It resulted in lack of control in our first touch on MANY occassions, the occasional pass not being weighted properly as well as regretable injuries to our boys. But as mentioned at the start, this is all part of it.

Overall, I think we were the better team. The 4-3 scoreline flatters them a bit especially because of (what seems to be the norm at the moment in our matchdays) the opposition appearing to bring on MUCH stronger players in the second half).

A HUGE thank you to Ryan for volunteering to stand goalkeeper today. The team thanks you.

With everything (above) said, we will take this win.

We will try to keep things in perspective at our debrief on Monday at training, but fair warning, we also need to prepare the boys for the league where away matches WILL be difficult and sometimes controversial.

We will need to continue (to learn) to rise above it.
