NB:  For those eager beavers who want to get a head start, coaches will be available at the sports field during the times indicated below from the 23 January 2012.

Due to the limitations on field space we are forced to limit the number of players, so we are changing the registrations this year to an invitation only system.  Players who are selected will be invited by the team coach during the last week of pre-season trials to register with the club during the first weekend of March (dates to be confirmed).  Subsequent players who wish to, will be included on a waiting list.

Players are required to wear football boots and shin guards at all practice sessions and to wear comfortable clothing.  It is advisable to bring a water bottle or energy drink as well.

Matches are played on Saturdays, but may on the odd occasion, be played during the week.  Players who are invited to register with the club for 2012 will be required to commit to a minimum attendance of 80% of the practice sessions and matches.  Players who are committed to winter sports where matches conflict with the football matches will not be invited to register due to the conflict in commitment.   Coaches will manage the teams during the practice sessions and matches.

The fees are R650 per year this year should you register on the day or R750.00 for registration later in the year.  The fees will cover the costs of registration, shorts and socks.  The coach will provide the football jersey on match days.  Each player will be required to bring their own football boots, shorts and socks, shin guards and a water bottle to matches.  Players who do not arrive with the required football gear will not be allowed to play.

If you need any more information, please feel free to contact the Committee.

We will be sending out regular communication to the Meadowridge Football Community during the year so we look forward to any suggestions, ideas and comments to make this year a successful one.
